Addictions are something that we all have. It's as simple as the morning cup of coffee or as complex as heroin addiction. Addictions come in different shapes for all of us. Managing addictions are complicated. The best thing I can think to do is try to pick addictions that are positive. Positive addictions are ones that help you rather than harm you. I know there are people that need their morning cup of coffee every day; there are worse addictions that they could have to pick themselves up in the morning. If you struggle with addictions and cannot find success in changing the negative addictions for positive ones try to take the process slowly. Addictions are so hard to overcome due to the fact that they are addictions, which mean they have a hold on you. For most of us there are hidden addictions that people don't know or see, something as simple as being addicted to a certain television show. People have said to me that well I am not addicted to that show I just like to watch it. But if they look at it they would see that how they react to the show is just the same as any other addiction. PTSD sufferers are said to be predestine to acquire addictions. I would like to help those that have given into addictions to ensure that they choose additions that are positive in their lives and help them keep a positive outlook on life.
